It is International Women’s Day, so time to celebrate the amazing women of Team Gofer.
Firstly, we have Annette who looks after everything Finance related. She has been with the team for over 7 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge from her career in Finance. She keeps the team motivated with her energy. She has embraced the growth of the business in the past 3 years and has provided constant support to the business to help it succeed.
And secondly, we have Liz (me) one of the owners of Gofer and Director of Operations and Resources. I am passionate about growing the business by offering amazing customer service to everyone that we deal with, by focusing on sustainability and looking at ways in which we can reduce the environmental impact of the business, building a strong team that represents all demographics and is supported in career development.
I also want to acknowledge that we work with some amazing, strong and powerful women in the event industry fighting for change, improving diversity, introducing greener technologies and sustainability, improved health and safety, pay equality and that are amazing at their jobs and great to work alongside.
Elements of the events industry are still clearly male dominated but with no real reason why. When we advertise for Freelancers the majority if not all applications are from males. So, if there are women out there that want to join the team head over to the website for more information www.gofer.co.uk/jobs. Let’s break down the barriers and build a gender balanced world. #BalanceforBetter #IWD #IWD19 #IWD2019 #InternationalWomensDay #InternationalWomensDay2019
